Baggage allowance authorized per passenger:

In Airbuses A320 :

Business class

  • Checked baggage: 2 Baggages with 50 Ibs per baggage.
  • Cabin: 1 Baggage of 26 Ibs per baggage: dimensions will not have to exceed 20x50x25cm(HxLxW).

 

Economy class

  • Checked baggage: 2 luggages with a total of 77 lbs. Every luggage has not to exceed 50 lbs.
  • Cabin: 1 baggage of 22 lbs which dimensions will not have to exceed 20x50x25cm (H x L x W).

 

In ATR 72-500

  •  HoldHoldHolCheckCChecked baggage: 1 baggage of 44 lbs.
  • Cabin: 1 baggage which dimensions will not have to exceed 55 cm(L) x 35 cm (w) x 25 cm (h).

Accessories:

Besides your cabin bag, you can take with you an accessory: handbag, laptop... The total weight must not have to exceed 11lbs.

You wish to take more? Mention it during your booking and ask for price lists in agencies.

We recommend you to register your name, address and phone number on each of your baggage. Labels are at your disposal in Senegal Airlines sales officies and at the counters of the airport.

CAUTION : Referring to the IATA REcommended Practice 1724 within its articles and paragraphs 9.1.3 and 16.3.7 and 8.3.4, passengers shall not include in checked baggage valuables items such as :

  •  Money (cash, cheks or credit cards),
  • Jewellery, precious metals (gold, silver, gold-plated),
  • Computers, personnal electronic devices (pocket PC, Mobile phones, cemeras, digital cameras, accessories, flash cards, memory cards),
  • Negotiable papers, irreplaceable books or publications/manuscripts, works of art,
  • Travel documents: passports, ID cards, driving licences and other identification documents,
  • Keys, Samples,
  • Items which are reasonably considered by us to be unsuitable for carriage because they are dangerous, usafe or by reason of their weight, size, shape or character, or which are fragile or perishable having regard to, among other things, the type of aircraft we ar using.

Passengers must keep valuable items inside their hand luggage in aircraft cabin during the flight.

If, despite being prohibited, any items referred to this rule, are included in your baggage, we shall not be responsible for any loss or damageto such items.

Special rules also apply to fragile and pershable items (IATA Recommended Practice 1724 within its article 9 and paragraphs 1.3).

Carrier is not liable for damage to fragile or perishble items.

Damage, pilferage or missing of those valuables are not compensable.

 

Liquid transport in cabin:

A particular regulations apply to the liquid products, the creams, the pastes and frosts transported in cabin. All these products must be presented to the security check in a transparent plastic bag of a maximal capacity of 1 liter (that is approximately 20 cms x 20 cms). The bag must be presented closed.

Medicines and medical equipments:

Medicines in the form of liquid are accepted in cabin whatever is their volume. Thank you for providing your prescription, during the security check.
